The past several months feel like the end of an era in more ways than one. I can’t believe we are now grappling with a global pandemic, realizations of systemic racism, civil unrest, mass unemployment, an upcoming election that feels like the most important in our lifetimes, and uncertainty about the future in general. It’s a lot to take at once. Many of us are going through tough times, and we’re all having our own unique and difficult experience as we make it through. I hope you and family are healthy, safe and happy to the extent you can be right now.
It really does feel like the end of the era. I find myself already a bit nostalgic for the 2012-2015 timeframe.
Those of you who follow my writing know that you don’t come to my newsletter for news. There is already too much of that out there. My role as a writer is to distract, and attempt to entertain you from time to time.
Since I am feeling a bit nostalgic, I’m going to use the newsletter to republish all of my old satire work (4 years’ worth) over the next 7 weeks or so. There are 15 pieces in all - a couple of which I never published before.
If you need a distraction (and you’re feeling nostalgic like me), please read and maybe you’ll get a laugh! If you can’t take it right now, I wont’ be offended if you unsubscribe.
Please stay well, and I’ll start the republishing process later this week…
